Welcome to the Internet home of Time
Rewind, a one-minute, day-in-history
audio capsule that celebrates pop
culture with a fun-filled, fast-paced
montage of news clips, music and
other classic sounds of a generation.
Launched in June
2007, Time Rewind has entertained
thousands of radio listeners each weekday
on affiliates from coast to
coast. Relive those days before the iPhone,
iPod and satellite radio, when FM was
new, LPs, 45s and 8-track tapes lined
our living room bookshelves, and we
took the ballgame and music down the
block and to the beach through our
trusty transistors and boom boxes.
Time Rewind is the soundtrack
of our lives, combining the greatest
hits of the 60s, 70s and early 80s
with other audio that shaped an era,
including sound bites, commercials,
jingles, TV themes and more. Host David
Mendel presents a lively mix
of popular tunes from the Beatles
to the Bee Gees, Elvis Presley to
Elvis Costello, one-hit wonders and
so much more.

And coming soon, a
long-form weekend edition called Time
Rewind Weekend will pack even
more entertaining content, serving
up an audio smorgasbord of each week
in history. In addition to Time
Rewind Weekend's roundup of celebrity
birthdays and historic events, you'll
love our "Timetravel Tributes" — music
sets centered around specific themes — and
contests and giveaways with chances
to win groovy prizes.
In today’s complicated world,
this is your chance to reminisce a
time when a gallon of gas cost well
under a buck, Dacron, wide ties and
long sideburns were the fashion rage,
TV sets were furniture and callers
actually dialed phone numbers. Time
Rewind and Time Rewind Weekend capture
it all in a fascinating and unique
audio scrapbook. Each production is
backed by a team of talented and experienced
writers, producers and researchers using
the resources of an extensive
music and audio library.
An entertainment concept unlike any
other, Time Rewind and Time Rewind
Weekend take you back. It's about
time! |
